Steve & Vicky would like to welcome you to The Ship on Briggate.

The Ship is steeped in over 300 years of history and is one of the oldest pub in Leeds. Conveniently located via a tiny ginnel opposite Harvey Nichols; if you need a rest from shopping, The Ship is well worth a visit.

This small but busy bar, with a separate dining area, brings a welcoming, traditional feel to the hustle and bustle of city life.

Carrying a good selection of up to 6 cask ales, value for money wines and fantastic pub food – and a combination of lively nights and relaxed lunchtimes.

Dark wood panelling, nautical memorabilia including brass fittings and ‘moody’ lighting complete the ambience. In summer there are a handful of tables outside to enjoy ‘Al Fresco’ drinking and dining. We offer an extensive menu of proper pub grub with additional weekly specials; most of our food is locally sourced including suppliers from Leeds Kirkgate Market.

Cask ales originate from local breweries and there is also a large selection of world beers and draughts – this is a serious business – The Ship holds Cask Marque, is a member of CAMRA, and is a proud participant of the Best Beer Guide. With regular live events there is always something new going on.
